Started November 2025 · Open source; hackathon prototype
For the Hugging Face / Exa MCP hackathon, I tried giving a coding agent a voice and a personality. It could sound like a burned-out developer, an overconfident senior engineer or a calm zen master as it talked about its work.
Vibe Narrator reads the agent’s terminal output, rewrites it in the chosen character’s style and speaks it aloud. It didn’t become a practical everyday tool, but the demo videos show it in action.

Voices for coding agents
- Narrate terminal output or reply to a message in character.
- Call narration tools through an MCP server, or try them directly in a Gradio interface.
- Capture terminal output, remove formatting, send the text for narration and play the audio.
This is a hackathon prototype. It uses external language models and speech services.
