I was learning to use pgRouting with OpenStreetMap data. Once the database and map were set up, I wanted to ask for routes between real places from Python, without writing SQL for each request. So I wrote psycopgr.
It wraps the parts of pgRouting I needed for that job. You give it map coordinates, and it finds routes or travel costs between them. It supports one-to-one and multiple-point queries, and can export a route as a GPX file.
Routes from Python
The library uses PostgreSQL, PostGIS and pgRouting with imported map data. It handles the routing calls after the database has been prepared; it does not set up the map or replace every pgRouting feature.
